Eojelly, the Earth Observation program focused on the prediction of jellyfish appearance, has been extended to the North East Atlantic Ocean.

The project, supported by the European Space Agency (ESA), was initially devoted to the implementation of a jellyfish forecasting model in the Mediterranean Sea.

However, with the incorporation of Techworks Marine to the consortium, Eojelly opens up to the irish waters, a place where jellyfish are among the largest causes of annual mortalities and hence economic loss to the aquaculture industry. Starlab is Eojelly's system developer and coordinator.

You can find more information on Eojelly website, including North West Mediterranean Test Prediction.
